OSERS is a program within the U.S. Department of Education that focuses on improving the lives of people with disabilities - both young and old. They provide grants to companies and organizations that have similar goals.

Grants are funded through the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA, which through their many programs, projects and research, provide an array of grants and other funding opportunities to serve individuals with disabilities and their families.

Grants are also funded through the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), whihc provides formula grants to states to assist them in providing a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment for children with disabilities ages 3 through 21.

OSEP also provides discretionary grants to institutions of higher education and other non-profit organizations to support research, demonstrations, technical assistance and dissemination, technology, personnel development and parent-training and information centers.
